KISS MY BUMPER!

Blog Show and Senate Insurance. The ancient Greek Gods couldn't have created a better pair! This match made in heaven was due in very large part to the very hard work put forth by the dynmic duo of Dan Steinberg and Jamie Mottram. It may look like all fun and games, but I can assure you that they would not agree. I think their dedication shines through when Blog Show is stacked up against the competition. Oops, that certainly was unprofessional, now wasn't it?

Here's Blog Show XXVI, the first episode officially sponsored by the good people at Senate Insurance.

GILBERT AT THE GOODMAN LEAGUE

Yesterday you got the raw video, but today, here's the finished product.

And after reading Gil's latest blog, I've come to the conclusion that you can never have too much Gilbert Arenas.

Gilbert Arenas Takes to the Streets

Sorry for the slow week. The Dude got a bit a promotion at work and has been working his ass off this week. I did find the time to travel down to Southeast D.C. earlier this week with Dan Steinberg to see Gilbert Arenas play in the Goodman League though. Here are the highlights.

You can see the edited version tonight around 5:30 pm on Washington Post Live and later this evening on YouTube.

Blog Show XVII

I was supposed to be down in Anacostia watching some serious NBA talent take to the courts of Berry Farms, but Mother Nature has insisted on douching everyone in the Washington DC area for the last few hours. Here's the latest edition of Blog Show. And here's a recap of the latest DC Blogger Happy Hour.

So I promised some video of Dan Steinberg dancing, and here it is.

Blog Show XVI

Friday means two things. It's time to hit the piss and it's time for Blog Show. I started the drinking regiment last night in the greater Georgetown area and here is Blog Show.

There's the strong possibility that I will be in close proximity to a dancing Dan Steinberg with video camera in hand sometime within the next 24 hours, so keep a look out for that.

BECKHAM-PALOOZA

I was overjoyed when Steinberg told me that he had videotaped the Beckham festivities out in Los Angeles last Friday, and here's why.

No wonder they call Donovan 'LandyCakes', huh?

Blog Show XIV

It was a long break, but we're finally back, and by back, I mean better than ever.

For my money, this is out best effort to date.

I'd be remissed if I didn't mention the fact that while the show was airing live, Washington Post Live Host Russ Thaler uttered the following during the YouTube of the Week, "It would have been more impressive if that actually came out of his butt."

JASON CAMPBELL IS COUNTRY

This one is a must for any Redskins fan. It's great to see the guys so relaxed off the field. Santana and Randle El were really giving to Jason all day, and here is the result. Make sure you look out for the blur marks circa 1994 Nothin' But a G Thang style.

Sorry for the delay in getting this up. I know I promised it on Monday, but there was a bit of an 'issue' in getting it on-air. Apparently there's CSN sales beef with a certain used car company which is the opposite of Western's. It hasn't been resolved, but I found a way to get it done, as you clearly saw. All hail blur marks!

Blog Show XIII

Ah, The Dude is back from a relaxing (i.e. drunk) weekend spent camping in Western Maryland. The Comcast Sportsnet Softball Team swept our Saturday doubleheader and is now just one game out of the division lead. An excellent weekend all around.

So what better way to start of the work week than watching the episode that put Blog Show at a baker's dozen.

An Exclusive Interview with Cedric the Entertainer

Last Night, Dan Steinberg and I went to the First Annual Washington Mystics Gala at The Fairmont Hotel in Downtown DC. Our goal was to get an episode of BogTV out of it, which we did, which you can see on tonight's Washington Post Live.

The big draw of the evening was a performance by Cedric the Entertainer, he off The Original Kings of Comedy fame. Steinz and I didn't stick around for the actual performance, but we got our own little show backstage before Cedric hit the mic. This guy is goofy. Check it out.

I should mention that Cedric was very gracious with his time and Steinz and I both appreciated his effort.

THE BEST OF THE BEST

Clips shows are the best, aren't they? Here are some of the highlights of the first 17 episodes of BogTV.

Enjoy!

Blog Show is Blowing Up!

First, it was The Blog Show Drinking Game, and now it's time for the clip show. Well, technically, the clip show came first, but it's just been one helluva a process getting it up on the YouTubes.

If anyone can remember back to March 19, you know that got off to what some might call a 'rough start', but ever since then, we've been in the zone, and it just keeps getting better.

Anyhow, without further to do, I present to you, The Best of Blog Show.

Blog Show XI

This week's Blog Show marks a few seminal moments of sorts. We finally have an email address, thanks to the newest member of the Blog Show team, our intern Mike Prada, the proprietor of Bullets Forever. Plus, we were joined, via crappy delayed satelitte, by Matt Ufford; front-page newsmaker and the man behind With Leather. Enjoy!

I really like the fact that we have switched to Roman Numerals to keep track. It just makes us that much cooler.

Blog Show Has Officially Arrived!

People in TV always say that a show has made it when it gets into syndication. Well, I beg to differ. I say you haven't made it until there is a drinking game created about you or your show.

There's the Brent Musberger Drinking Game in which "Everyone drinks 1 when Brent says "Folks." However, if Brent says "Hold on Folks", everyone must drink once but the first person to drink has to finish their drink for not holding on."

How about the ESPN College Gameday Drinking Game. Rule #16: If Holly Rowe starts to look good to you, stop drinking.

My personal favorite has to be The Price is Right Drinking Game. Rule #4:drink everytime someone bids a dollar. Rule #16: If you make it to the end of the show and Bob tells you to spay or neuter your pets, drink a beer.

Well, now there is a drinking game that trumps all others. It's the BLOG SHOW DRINKING GAME! The tremendously gracious contributors over at Rumors and Rants were kind enough to sit down and come up with this one, and for that, the Blog Show Crew is forever indebted to them.

The great thing about this game is that it took a true Blog Show fan to come up with some of these rules. Someone who watches Blog Show with a critical, yet careful, eye. Take a look at some of these rules.

Take a sip if:
A blogger gets his (or her) wings via a "ding."
Dan swings and misses badly on a one-liner, bringing the show to a screeching halt.
They talk at the same time.
Jamie uncomfortably, yet smoothly segues into another topic. (Ex. "Speaking of keeping your groin in check...")

Take two sips if:
You've never heard of the blog they reference.
They refer to how low-budget the show is.
Hairstyles (facial or head) are examined.

Chug if:
Dan nails a one-liner (or as we call it, a "That gets a ding" moment).
Jamie doesn't get one of Dan's jokes.
Dan, and not Jamie, makes the transition between segments.

Just a few examples of the brilliance that is the staff at Rumors and Rants. Again, we can't thank them enough, and I can assure them that R and R will be getting some loud dings on this week's edition of Blog Show!
