Orioles Need Help at the Gate
Fans who enjoy ballpark food as much as the action on the field will want to take advantage of the Orioles’ newest offer, the All-You-Can-Eat Left Field Club ticket. Launching on July 12, the offer is one of three new special ticket programs the Orioles will debut for the second half of the season. The other two programs - a Super Saturday 4-Pack and 6-Game Sunday Plan - will be offered for weekend games at Camden Yards over the season’s final three months.
The All-You-Can-Eat offer will be valid for all non-prime home games during the remainder of the season. For $35 in advance or $40 on the day of the game, fans receive a seat in sections 280-288 of the Left Field Club Level (a $25 value) and an All-You-Can-East pass for the concession stands located directly behind the sections. Menu items include hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos, ice cream, soda and lemonade. Concession stands will be open from the time gates open through the 7th inning of the game.
So, it's come to this, huh? I feel bad for the real Orioles fans out there, you deserve better.

Peace Out Sam!
Bullpen coach Dave Trembley, a longtime minor league skipper who has occasionally subbed for bench coach Tom Trebelhorn this season, has been named interim manager while club executives begin the search for a long-term replacement.
I think most Orioles fans find this news comforting, right?
Oh by the way; Nationals 30-39, Orioles 29-40.
Just sayin'

Best Manager Ever!
I present Mississippi Braves Manager Phillip Wellman!

It's All Very Clear
And this is bound to happen ...
Let this be a lesson to you all!
UPDATE: It seems the truth is out. AROD has a particular "type" that he looks for in women.
A petite stripper at the Hustler Club said A-Rod "likes the she-male, muscular type. They brought me up to the champagne room one time. I spun around once and that was it. I'm not his type."
Uh, no comment ...

Get Your Fantasy Fix
The Beltway Baseball Report is the newest addition to the Comcast Sportsnet programming lineup. The BBR airs every Sunday evening inside the 10 p.m. Sportsnite. Seeing as how Fantasy Baseball is now a huge part of the Major League Baseball culture, the BBR is now airing a bi-weekly segment called "The Fantasy Flash". The host of this segment is Ariel Agami, a die-hard Yankees fan, and an all-around baseball guru. In addition to his Regional Televison reports every other week, the good people at ComcastSportsnet.com will be posting a weekly video of Ariel giving his Fantasy Flash. Now I will say that Ariel is one of my closest friends here in the CSN newsroom, and that is the reason I will give him this pub. I will also say that the guy never ceases to amaze me with this baseball brain. The man knows his stuff, and his first few tips could have helped any struggling fantasy manager out there. He's also someone who has worked his rear end off to get this chance at doing something on air, and I believe he is taking full advantage of this opportunity.
So, if you're looking for some help in getting a leg up on your fantasy competition as the Spring turns into Summer, send Ariel an email. And please be sure to ask him what place his team currently sits in the Comcast Sportsnet Fantasy Baseball League.

This Kid Has The Right Idea!
I really enjoyed how when he got to outfield, he really doesn't have a clue what to do next, so he randomly jumps in the air and contorts his body.
Tip of the hat to We Are The Postmen for the heads up!

Orioles / Nationals: Does Anyone Care?
The guys over at Oriole Magic sure don't. But at least they're talking about it. A look around the 'Battle of the Beltways' blogosphere shows just how little talk there is about this 'rivalry'.
Camden Chat: Nothing
The Wayword Oriole: Not a word
Oriole Post: Silence
Oriole Central: Bare (Although they are killing Sam Perlozzo)
Well, maybe the Nationals Bloggers are the ones who are more interested in this weekend's series!
Just a Nats Fan: Zilch
Capitol Punishment: Zero
Distinguished Senators: Nil
The Nationals Enquirer: Although they do mention the series, it is only in their 'exclusive report' that Sidney Ponson may make an appearance at RFK this weekend.
BallWonk: I don't even think they're around anymore
So there you have it! The Local Blogosphere is not exactly jacked about the next edition of 495/695 Faceoff.
The good thing is that the Nationals are going to get the sweep this weekend, which will bring them even the Orioles, record-wise (18-26). That will definitely help me win my yearly bet with my boy Cyrus.

Typical
HOLY SHITE!
I flip it on over to that craptastic regional sports network to find the top of the 8th just starting! Will this be history in the making???
Second pitch I see Jason Bergmann throw ... way gone over the right field wall!
Typical.
It would be nice to get that fourth straight win though.
Top of the 9th coming up.

Comcast Sportsnet makes me Giggle!
Just check out this feature on the "Unity Stashe" movement going on in the Baltimore Orioles bullpen right now.
Huge ups to my man Dustin Green for throwing this little gem together! This piece was a part of CSN's new weekly segment, "Beltway Baseball", which airs every Sunday evening at 10:30 p.m. (as part of the nightly Sportsnite telecast). Beltway Baseball is doing some great things that you would never see on any other local regional sports network, so keep an eye out!
